This is a group for people who enjoy doing things with textiles and thread. This could be anything from the very practical to highly decorative work.

The emphasis will be on gaining new skills and combining them imaginatively. We will explore traditional and newer techniques, both academically and practically by visiting exhibitions, museums and galleries, running workshops to learn or improve our skills (using group members’ expertise and online or print resources) and having design sessions which could be anything from colour theory to planning individual or group projects.
