Sambourne was the Kensington home of the Punch illustrator Edward Linley Sambourne(1844–1910). In 1875 the house was decorated in the Aesthetic style inspired by Japanese art, featuring William Morris wallpapers, stained glass windows, a Chinese porcelain collection and 19th Century furniture and art.
